How to Troubleshoot Intermittent Starting Issues on a Peugeot 205 Rallye?

Hi everyone,
I’ve got a 1990 Peugeot 205 Rallye (1.3L) that’s been having intermittent starting problems. Sometimes it cranks but won’t fire up, and other times it starts fine after a few tries. I’ve checked the battery (12.6V), spark plugs, and fuel pump, but the issue persists. Could it be the ignition coil, distributor, or something else like the carburetor? Has anyone dealt with this on their 205 Rallye? Any diagnostic tips or common fixes would be greatly appreciated.
